Welcome to LimeApp (“we,” “us,” “our,” or the “App”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the LimeApp website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By accessing or using LimeApp, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Service.

You retain ownership of the User Content you create.

However, by submitting User Content to LimeApp, you grant LimeApp a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, modify, adapt, and otherwise use your User Content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, improve, promote, and provide the Service.

This license does not transfer ownership of your User Content to LimeApp.

You are solely responsible for the User Content you submit.

## 4. Content Standards


You agree not to upload, publish, or distribute content that:

* Violates any applicable law or regulation.
* Infringes another person's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
* Contains fraud, scams, or deceptive information intended to harm or exploit others.

* Contains sexually explicit material prohibited by applicable law or our platform rules.
* Exploits or sexualizes minors in any way.
* Contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
* Harasses, threatens, stalks, or intimidates another person.

* Deliberately spreads malicious or deceptive information.
* Inappropriately exposes another person's private or confidential information.
* Attempts to manipulate, disrupt, or compromise LimeApp.
* Otherwise violates these Terms or applicable laws.

We may remove or restrict access to User Content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms, applicable laws, or our policies.

## 5. Intellectual Property


LimeApp and its original content, features, functionality, branding, logos, design, software, and other materials provided by us are owned by or licensed to the owner of LimeApp and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, you may not:

* Copy or reproduce LimeApp's software or design.
* Modify or create derivative works from the Service.
* Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
* Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without written permission.
* Use LimeApp's trademarks, logos, or branding without permission.

You retain ownership of your original User Content, subject to the license granted to LimeApp under these Terms.

LimeApp is not responsible for the content, policies, security, or practices of third-party services.

* Defects will always be corrected.
* The Service will be free from viruses or other harmful components.

User-generated content represents the views of the users who create it and does not necessarily represent the views of LimeApp.

LimeApp is not responsible for decisions you make based on information published by users.

## 13. Limitation of Liability


To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LimeApp, its owners, employees, affiliates, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

## 14. Indemnification


To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LimeApp, its affiliates, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from:

* Your use of the Service.
* Your User Content.
* Your violation of these Terms.
* Your violation of another person's rights.
* Your violation of applicable laws.

## 15. Changes to the Service


We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of LimeApp at any time.

We may also update these Terms when necessary.

If we make material changes, we may provide notice through LimeApp or other reasonable means.

Your continued use of LimeApp after the updated Terms become effective means that you accept the revised Terms.

## 17. Google Play


If you download or use LimeApp through Google Play, your use of the App is also subject to the applicable Google Play terms and policies.

Google is not responsible for providing maintenance or support services for LimeApp unless required by applicable law.

## 18. Governing Law


These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of  country/state, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of LimeApp shall be handled by the courts or other dispute-resolution mechanisms having jurisdiction under applicable law.

## 19. Severability


If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

## 20. Entire Agreement


These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies expressly incorporated into these Terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and LimeApp concerning your use of the Service.

OPay has firmly dismissed a viral social media claim that it planned to shut down or go on a prolonged break starting September 1, 2026.

 A fabricated post circulating widely on Sunday warned OPay customers to withdraw or move their funds, claiming the fintech would suspend operations for an extended period.  The rumour spread quickly across platforms, sparking concern among users of one of Nigeria’s major digital payment and financial services providers.
